The Annual Biomedical Research Conference for Minority Students (ABRCMS), one of the nation’s largest STEM conferences for minority students, recognizes the importance of mentorship in STEM and actively promotes its benefits to conference attendees.

At the core of ABRCMS are the student presentations. Over 1,800 students present their research during the four day conference with each presenting student receiving three mentor judges. Judges at ABRCMS provide the students with valuable feedback and have many opportunities to network with like-minded colleagues who are also seeking ways to advance minority success in STEM as well as participate in cutting edge scientific sessions.

Researchers willing to serve as judges for the entire conference can apply for the ABRCMS Judge Travel Award. Last year 85% of eligible applicants, who were first-time ABRCMS attendees, received a travel award.
