POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Statistics group is part of the Department of Computer Science and Statistics (CSS) at the University of Rhode Island (URI). CSS is a dynamic, welcoming, innovation-focused department, favorably positioned to take advantage of the synergies between computational and statistical sciences. Faculty members in Statistics are actively involved in cutting-edge research areas including biostatistics, Bayesian methods, network analysis, missing data, econometrics, and spatiotemporal modeling. Several of these areas provide opportunities for collaboration with scientists from other fields, contributing to characterize the department as a well-integrated center of multidisciplinary research. We invite applications for a Multicultural Faculty Fellow with a research focus in any area of Statistical Science and a commitment to bringing multicultural perspectives to our programs, course offering, and the institution at large.
