The Center for Advanced Genomic Technologies (CAGT) at Duke University is hosting an event to connect with late stage PhD students in Genetics & Genomics. Creating Outstanding Opportunities for Postdoctoral Trainees (COOPT) in Genomic Technologies will invite students from institutions across the country to visit Duke to share conference-style presentations of their own research, learn about exciting projects currently underway in CAGT, identify future research opportunities in labs of interest during 1:1 discussions, and explore Duke’s campus and Durham, NC. Professional Development workshops on how to find a great fit for your postdoc position and network (Dara Wilson Grant), and an optional fellowship grant writing tips and tricks session (Jennifer Reininga-Craven) will also be included. Students will be selected to participate from a national pool based on scholarship and alignment of interests with Center faculty research and collaborations.  Accepting applications now through March 16th . Additional details are available on the CAGT website.
