Award Information: Funding Instrument: Grant Funds Available and Anticipated Number of Awards: NIGMS intends to commit $2.5 million in FY 2013. Approximately 5-7 awards are anticipated. Award Budget: Although the size of award will vary with the scope of the research proposed, budget requests should not exceed $250,000 (direct cost) per year except that in first year additional funds not to exceed $100K (direct cost) may be requested for exceptional equipment needed for highly specialized purposes (e.g., single molecule imaging microscope, germ-free mice incubator, etc.).
