Dear colleagues,

I seek your assistance in identifying outstanding candidates for two post-doctoral positions in my laboratory at the US National Institutes of Health (NIH) that will become available on October 1, 2015. Candidates must have a Ph.D., M.D. or equivalent degree, and no more than five years of research experience since receipt of their doctoral degree. I am particularly interested in candidates with expertise in neurobiology, including experience working with neurons in primary culture or transgenic mouse models. Candidates with other types of expertise, including molecular biology, biochemistry, and fluorescence microscopy and imaging are also welcome to apply as long as they are exceptionally talented, motivated and willing to learn. My lab works on the molecular mechanisms of protein trafficking, with a more recent focus on the mechanisms of polarized sorting in neurons and the mechanisms of organelle positioning and motility. Below are references to some of our latest work. Information about post-doctoral training at the NIH can be found at this link:

I would greatly appreciate it if you could bring this information to the attention of any qualified candidates. Candidates should submit a message with an attached CV to bonifacinoj@helix.nih.gov. I apologize if you received this message in error or in duplicate because of problems with my mailing list. Thank you very much for your assistance in this search.
