A postdoctoral research position is immediately available in the laboratory of Dr. Eric R. Schreiter, at the University of Puerto Rico - Rio Piedras Campus, to study the effects of S-nitrosylation on protein structure and function at the molecular level. Applicants should possess a PhD in a relevant field (chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology, structural biology, etc.) and ideally have experience in structural characterization of macromolecules using x-ray crystallography. Experience in protein biochemistry and other biophysical techniques for characterizing proteins is also highly desirable. Excellent communication skills, motivation and the ability to work as part of a team are required.
