The Department of Energy's (DOE) Scholars Program introduces students or recent college graduates to DOE’s mission and operations. As a participant in the DOE Scholars Program, you will earn a competitive edge by familiarizing yourself with DOE functions while showcasing your education, talent and skills.
Being selected as a DOE Scholar offers the following benefits:
- Career possibilities with the nation’s leading sponsor for scientific research
- Opportunities to learn from top scientists and subject matter experts
- Stipends of up to $650 per week (depending on academic status)
- Travel arrangements to and from appointment site; travel reimbursements for occasional off-site meetings
To qualify for the DOE Scholars Program, you will need to meet the following eligibility criteria:
U.S. citizenship, and at least 16 years of age (no exceptions).
Undergraduate, graduate or post-graduate of an accredited institute of higher education. Exceptions may be made on academic status on a case-by-case basis for summer appointments only.
