The Yale Program to Advance Training in Health and Science (PATHS) is a 10-month virtual initiative that provides undergraduate students or recent graduates with a transformative learning experience to support their goal of applying for and earning an MD, MD/PhD, or PhD in the biomedical sciences.

For students interested in PhD programs only, we have extended the application deadline to Tuesday, April 19, 11:59pmPlease note, the MD and MD/PhD tracks are closed and will not accept additional applicants.

Students receive the following benefits:

  • Trainings - Students will participate in monthly online evening workshops and conversations about topics related to preparing for and applying to their degree of interest.
  • Mentoring - Students will have the option to be mentored by current MD, MD/PhD, or PhD candidates at Yale School of Medicine (YSM)

This is a great opportunity for students from underrepresented groups who would like additional mentoring, advice, professional development, and community to support their goals of enrolling and succeeding in a PhD program, not just at Yale, but anywhere!
