Description of Work

Position available for a full-time Research Technician interested in projects related to antipsychotic pharmacogenomics. The technician will dedicate the majority of their time to assisting the faculty and the laboratory manager with mouse colony management, animal handling, mouse tissue dissections, molecular biology and genetic research including PCR, DNA and RNA isolation and purification, DNA amplification, electrophoresis, and library preparation for high-throughput sequencing. The technician will also assist the lab manger with organizing the lab as well as ordering reagents, supplies, and equipment maintenance. Additional duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

Demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work.

Preferred Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in a life science or related field. Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience working with mice.
