The Senior Supply Chain Planner will act as the main liaison between external organizations like Global Planning, Direct Customers and Customer Management organization and Janssen-Ortho LLC to ensure Domestic and International Markets for Base Business and New Launches Markets requirements are met. The role responsible for the development and execution of the production plans and schedules in support of the customer service goods and production requirements. Develop and ensures execution of released and shipping requirements to support customer needs. Lead the task and the activities of the Internal Value Chain (IVC) team. Responsible for participating in the monthly Sales and Operations Planning Process (S&OP) with Global Planning and MTO platform and keeping the IVC team members informed of all issues regarding market trends, forecasts and special Marketing events. Lead the monthly renewal process and outcome of the IVC area managed. Update process orders at SAP/APO to meet internal and external customer requirements. Monitors products demand and sales trends to ensure proper actions are taken to sustain product availability and proper inventory levels of WIP, raw materials and packaging components. Leads day to day communication at the IVC meeting including the new organization structure of Reliability room to ensure meeting our Customer requirements (Distribution Centers, MTO customers and Affiliates). Provides overall priority for Finished Goods release / shipments needs to Manufacturing, Packaging, Quality Assurance and Warehouse/Traffic teams. Responsible for the achievement of customer services and key operational metrics. Coordinate all Logistics activities to Support extended new product introductions for the IVC product lead. Coordinate activities within/outside the different organizations. Ensures Capacity analysis / allocation is in line with Base Business demand, and New Products requirements. Observes all company policies, procedures, programs, systems, rules and regulations at all times of all compliance areas including but not limited to Safety, Environmental, Quality, Records Management, Human Resources, Security, and others; and encourage co-workers to do so. Notifies any violation or deviation to his/her immediate supervisor or compliance area officer. Participates in projects, programs, committees, and special activities that the company promotes geared toward establishing its strategic goals.

Qualifications


A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Materials Management, Manufacturing Processes, Pharmaceutical Operations or Engineering is required. A Master's Degree is preferred. A minimum of six (6) years of experience with exposure to materials management in manufacturing sites. Overall knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP's) and regulatory compliance and thorough knowledge of Supply Chain, Planning Process and Materials Management is required. Association of Operations Management, previously known as the American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS), certification is preferred. Process Excellence and/or Project Management certification is preferred. Proficiency in the use MS Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Internet and SAP is required. Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Spanish are required. Must possess proven skills in Project Management. Requires strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Must possess partnering, collaboration, communication, influencing and consulting skills. Physical requirements of the position include occasionally to stand, walk, pull and push, bend forward and backwards, twist waist and neck, hand and arm; frequently sits, talks, listens, grabs with right (or left) hand; and constantly has close vision, writes, and uses the keyboard with both hands. Availability to travel ten percent (10%) of the time outside Puerto Rico is required. The incumbent must be able to work regular shifts and flexibility to change working schedule, working overtime and weekends according to business needs.
