Tenure-track assistant professor position in Biostatistics 

The Department of Mathematics and the Department of Biological Sciences at the University of North Texas invite applications for a joint appointment tenure-track assistant professor position in biostatistics with the expected appointment to begin in Fall 2018. 

Responsibilities of this position are to pursue research in biostatistics or a related field and teach undergraduate and graduate biostatistics courses in both the departments. The normal teaching load is two courses per semester with the typical 2-1 load during the initial years of the appointment. 

The successful candidate for the assistant professor position will have a Ph.D. in biostatistics or a closely related field at the time of appointment. Preference will be given to outstanding applicants with previous academic research experience including postdoctoral training and undergraduate and/or graduate level teaching experience, and with a strong interest in interdisciplinary research.
