Continuamente escuchamos en los medios noticiosos la discusión de tópicos de envergadura mundial tales como: la reforma energética y la reforma de salud, la seguridad nacional, el calentamiento global, la crisis alimenticia, y el presupuesto fiscal y su impacto en la innovación y competitividad, entre otros. Aunque parezcan no relacionarse entre si, para poder ser resueltos, todos estos temas envuelven consideraciones de ciencia.

Es precisamente en la interface de la ciencia, la sociedad y los gobiernos donde yace la “política pública científica”, un área dedicada a trabajar con políticas o programas que apliquen o incorporen la ciencia y tecnología en pos de un bien común.

Líderes empresariales y académicos apoyaron este miércoles un proyecto de ley que propone establecer la política pública de ciencia, tecnología e innovación del Gobierno.

La Asociación de Industriales indicó que a largo plazo, la inversión en conocimiento será el sustento sobre el cual desarrollar nuevos productos y servicios, competir y liderar en los mercados, así como generar y acceder a otros nuevos.
