I think like the patient. When people click “contact us” or they pick up the phone, they do it with a goal in mind; an action must be executed. My first goal as future pharmacist is to make sure that the patient gets the solution for what they came for.
I’m a second-year student in the Doctor of Pharmacy Program at Nova Southeastern University (NSU), Puerto Rico Regional Campus. I earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Human Biology at University of Puerto Rico at Bayamon (UPRB), and a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree with a major in Gerontology at University of Puerto Rico Medical Sciences Campus (UPR-MSC), where I graduated with honors.
I’m a experienced manager with a demonstrated history of working in the retail industry. My expertise includes project design in sales, strategic planning, human resources management and team motivation skills.
My colleagues would describe me as a driven, resourceful individual who maintains a positive, proactive attitude when faced with adversity. Currently, I’m seeking opportunities that will allow me to develop and promote the skills to be diligent, detail-oriented, and committed to supporting the health of the patients. Specific fields of interest include patient compliance and adherence, geriatric patient care management, pharmacoepidemiology, gerontology, public health issues, and pharmaceuticals.
I’m currently holding pharmacy intern licenses from Puerto Rico and Florida. After graduation I see myself practicing in a community and clinical pharmacy, fulfilling the role of one of the most accessible healthcare providers. In my spare time, I enjoy going to the movies, the beach and traveling.
