Students and faculty from the Department of Biology of the University of Puerto Rico Cayey published the results of their research in the prestigious scientific journal Nature MicrobiologyThe research, led by professors Michael Rubin and Edwin Vázquez, describes a defense mechanism used by bacteria to avoid infection.
