Student at the UPR-RUM recieved 1st place for his poster at IISE

Andrés F. Calle Hoyos, student at the Department of Industrial Engineering at the University of Puerto Rico in (RUM), received an award for his poster (Experimental Design Analysis of Stir Casting of Enhanced Aluminum Filler Reinforced with NbB2 Nanoparticles) at the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers (IISE) conference in Anaheim, California.

UPR Río Piedras holds first camp on cyber security

The Computational Science Department from the Faculty of Natural Sciences at the Univeristy of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras Campus held the first Cyber Security Summer Camp for high school students. The camp focused on introducing participants to areas of cyber security, holding informative workshops and by providing pratical experiencies through the use of tools used by experts in security.
