The Department of Psychology and Neuroscience , jointly with the Duke Institute for Brain Sciences and its Center for Neuroeconomic Studies invite applications for an assistant professor (tenure-track) position in Systems and Integrative Neuroscience to begin Fall 2010. We seek outstanding applicants with interdisciplinary research programs aimed at understanding the neuroeconomics of reward and decision making with relevance to drug addiction using small animal models. An example would be mouse genetic studies of decision making relevant to drug addiction, although all research programs relevant to the topic will be considered. In addition to the development of a nationally-recognized externally-funded research program, faculty responsibilities include undergraduate and graduate teaching. The position will be exclusively hired at the Assistant Professor level and eligible candidates must not have previously held a tenure-track position. The Department of Psychology and Neuroscience is a department with strengths in behavioral neuroscience, cognitive neuroscience, clinical, developmental and social psychology.
