1.   Senior Observatory Scientist (Space and Atmospheric Science Team Lead)
The University of Central Florida (UCF) and the Department of Space and Atmospheric Science (SAS) at the Arecibo Observatory (AO) invites applications for the "SAS Lead" position. 2.    Deputy Director, Arecibo Observatory
Located in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, the Deputy Director will lead the science strategy for the facility and have management responsibility over the on-site science team. This position is responsible for administratively managing staff work, evaluating performance, and providing guidance and direction. The candidate will work directly with the scientists in developing performance plans and metrics aligned with short and long term objectives of the facility.

3.    Arecibo Big Data Program Manager
Located in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, this position will lead the implementation of a new cloud based data management platform at the Arecibo Observatory (AO). The program manager will be tasked with leading the project and being the primary interface between the Observatory and the third party supplier. This includes developing and managing all aspects of the project, including supporting personnel, developing project plans, and managing technical risks associated with the implementation.

4.    Arecibo Software Engineer II
Located in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, this position will provide support to the implementation of a new cloud based data management storage system at the Arecibo Observatory. Perform cataloging and indexing of data archives, and support new data uploads into the platform. Optimize existing database systems for performance efficiency. Lead database design and architecture to support application development projects. Prepare design specifications, functional documentations, and testing for assigned projects.
