Pre-bac position available in a project focused on developing new strategies to detect and quantify impurities capable of eliciting innate immune and inflammatory responses. The project combines elements of immunology, protein characterization, and advanced statistical analysis.  Ideally candidates will have training in immunology and/or molecular biology. Experience in the use of animal models is a plus.  Independence, initiative, excellent verbal and writing communication skills are required.  This position (s) will be appointed for one year via a fellowship from ORISE (see http://orise.orau.gov/fda/), with the potential for renewal on an annual basis. 

ORISE fellowships in the Verthelyi lab are available to U.S. citizens, non-citizens with permanent resident status, or non-citizens that are eligible for a J-1 visa and have resided in the US for at least 3 of the last 5 years.  Salary is commensurate with experience and includes an allowance for health insurance.
