The 8th Biennial Conference of the Specialized Neuroscience Research Programs (SNRP) will take place in San Juan, Puerto Rico and will be hosted by the Universidad de Puerto Rico and the Universidad Central del Caribe. The event will take place at the Caribe Hilton from July 21 to the 23. The theme of this year’s conference is Challenges and Opportunities in Neuroscience in the 21st Century. The conference features outstanding scientific presentations from experts in areas such as genomics, drug development, computational neuroscience, and microscopy. Highlights of the conference include a keynote address from Nobel Laureate, Dr. Martin Chalfie, NIH updates provided by NINDS Director, Dr. Story Landis, and information on NIH’s enhanced peer review system by Dr. Alan Willard.
