Federal funding for scientific research is in trouble and the ASCB needs your help! Help show America what science really looks like by taking a picture of you and your lab mates and submitting it to the 2013 We Are Research campaign. Giving a face to science helps show our communities how decreased federal funding negatively impacts an important workforce in biomedical advances.
Five-year $700,000 awards for physician-scientists to bridge advanced postdoctoral/fellowship training and the early years of faculty service. Proposals must be in the area of basic biomedical, disease-oriented, or translational research. Proposals in health services research or involving large-scale clinical trials are ineligible. Awards are made to degree-granting institutions in the U.S. or Canada on behalf of the awardee.
ABRCMS-LINK Travel Award: The Leaders Inspiring Networks and Knowledge (LINK) Program, a structured-mentoring initiative from ASM and NSF, is offering travel awards to the 2013 Annual Biomedical Research Conference for Minority Students (ABRCMS) to be held November 13-16, 2013 in Nashville, Tennessee.
