We are writing to inform you of a new NIH-supported Postbaccalaureate Research Education Program (PREP) at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine (Bronx, NY). The program is designed to provide a year‑long intensive laboratory based research experience to underrepresented minority college graduates who are interested in pursuing training in a research intensive PhD or MD-PhD program but lack sufficient research experience to be competitive in top programs.

The NIH Postbac IRTA program (CRTA, Cancer Research Training Award, in the National Cancer Institute) provides recent college graduates who are planning to apply to graduate or professional (medical/dental/pharmacy) school an opportunity to spend one or two years performing full-time research at the NIH.
