Hi! My name is Natalia Aponte Borges and I'm a biologist, graduate researcher, and passionate bilingual educator. My interests broadly involve integrative biology, ecology and evolution, and teaching. I am also driven by accessible STEM education, science literacy, and writing.
I’m currently a Ph.D. Candidate at the University of Pennsylvania (EES and Biology programs), with a B.S. in Integrative Biology from the University of Puerto Rico-Río Piedras (2019). I have extensive experience in interdisciplinary research (microbial interactions, plant biology, environmental science), evolutionary biology, STEM outreach, and k-12/postsecondary instruction. I aspire to be an educator at a PUI or HSI and do conservation work in Puerto Rico.
