Warm Greetings! My name is Edgardo Lopez and I'm currently a graduate student at
University ofPuerto Rico-Rio Piedras (Department of Biology). I'm working as a Graduate Research Student in the Bioinformatics, Comparative Genomics and Molecular Evolution Laboratory under the guidance of Prof. Steven Massey,PhD. I completed my bachelor's degree in Microbiology (Class of
2013) from University of Puerto Rico-Humacao. My primary areas of interests include:
Molecular Evolution
Microbial Pathogenesis
Genetic Mutations
Biochemistry
Cancer Evolution
Apart from research and academics, I enjoy working on my podcast(www.100ciapr.blogspot.com), reading and working with all types of new technology. I'm a social person willing to exchange ideas and knowledge in any aspect of science. I also promote minority students to achieve careers in STEM areas for the benefit of our society.
Look around to know more about my research and interests.
