About Me and Project Info

Sobre Mi:

I did my undergraduate studies in the UPR-Mayaguez on Industrial Microbiology.
My Doctoral studies were in Rutgers University on aerobic alkane oxidizers in deep sea hydrothermal vents. I am currently a teaching Instructor for the Biochemistry and Microbiology Department at Rutgers University.

My thesis project is the isolation and chracterization of alkane oxidizers in deep-sea hydrothermal vents. I'm also interested in detecting different alkane hydroxylases in these isolates as well as screening for potential biosurfactant producers.
