The Department of Chemistry at Case Western Reserve University invites applications for a non-tenure track faculty position at the rank of Instructor. Candidates must be committed to excellence in undergraduate teaching, mentoring, and service. A PhD in chemistry and experience teaching first-year and sophomore-level undergraduate chemistry courses with demonstrated excellence in teaching are required.

Arecibo - Under the leadership of Professor Ángel Acosta Colón, more than 100 students who have participated in his research course at the Physics-Chemistry Department of the University of Puerto Rico at Arecibo (UPRA) have immersed themselves in the past few years in projects ranging from mapping to the search for fossils, but above all they have dedicated themselves to understanding a mysterious world: the country's caves.

This has led to consistent power outages, compromised healthcare access, and critical infrastructure issues. Growing up amidst these challenges, I slowly came to realize the wide gap between the island’s potential and its own scientific community. This realization sparked my initial interest towards Chemical Engineering and helped define my purpose – to provide reliable, accessible, and sustainable solutions for major ongoing energy and health problems in disadvantaged communities.
