Instituto de verano para investigadores jóvenes interesados en estudiar el abuso de drogas

The Interdisciplinary Research Training Institute on Hispanic Drug Abuse (IRTI) is now accepting applications for its Summer Institute in Los Angeles, June 5-15. The IRTI promotes the career development of pre-doctoral, post-doctoral and early career scientists interested in conducting research on drug abuse among Hispanics. The IRTI is funded by the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA).

NASA chose the young woman from Arroyo, and member of CienciaPR, for a Mars pre-exploration project

Yajaira Sierra Sastre aspires to be the first woman astronaut from Puerto Rico. Her goal is closer at hand now that she has been selected to participate in the Hawaii Space Exploration Analog and Simulation (Hi-SEAS), an important project financed by NASA to study important aspects of how to sustain astronauts traveling and living in Mars.
