The University of Puerto Rico - Aguadilla partipated of the First Colloquium for the Creation and Difusion of Research Projects and Community Work of the Jaguey Multidisciplinary Research Center. The purpose of this event was to create new collaborative alliances between UPR-Aguadilla, the Camuy River Cave National park and UPR-Arecibo.

A study implemented by the Medical Sciences Campus at the University of Puerto Rico in collaboration with Columbia University in New York, has positively impacted hundreds of gay men and transgender women through the distribution of more than one thousand home tests as a prevention method for the spread of HIV.
