Dr. Ubalo M. Cordova, chemical engineer, studies colloidal suspensions, which are microscopic particles that are found in liquids. In the research he performs at the University of Puerto Rico, Mayaguez (UPRM), Cordova invetigates colloids that have the ability of propulsion, like the microorganisms that travel troughout our blood.
