$225,000 in scholarships available through Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers

Hispanics pursuing their first bachelor’s, master’s or doctoral degrees may be eligible for one of the scholarships available through the Advancing Hispanic Excellence in Technology, Engineering, Math, and Science (AHETEMS) Scholarship Program of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE). Hispanic college students are invited to apply for the AHETEMS scholarships, which total $225,000. A qualifying individual may apply for more than one scholarship. There is no fee to apply. All applications must be postmarked by April 1. AHETEMS officials will award the merit- and needs-based scholarships to eligible graduating high school seniors, undergraduates, graduate students and engineering professionals who demonstrate significant motivation in pursing a degree in science, technology, engineering, math (STEM) or a related field at a two- or four-year higher education institution.
