The APS Hurricane Relief Fund is designed to help our scientific colleagues and friends to cope with the after effects of Hurricanes Harvey, Irma, and Maria. With an initial commitment of $100,000 APS Council has recommended that funds be provided to support graduate students and postdoctoral fellows by providing unrestricted grants of up to $2,000 to help them replace belongings, pay for relocation costs, etc. It is expected that the graduate students and postdoctoral fellows supported by this Fund will either be APS members or working in laboratories of APS members.
