I am currently looking for a research specialist. 

JOB DESCRIPTION.  This individual will perform a variety of administrative tasks such as ordering, perform general inventories, train personnel, write biosafety and mouse protocols, and ensure the proper physical appearance of the lab.  Must have the leadership skills to manage a laboratory.  The individual should work with minimal supervision and this is why previous experience is required.  At least one year of experience as a research assistant in a cell, molecular or biochemistry laboratory are required.  A bachelors or master’s degree in the above-mentioned fields is required.  The individual should have experience in basic techniques in molecular biology, such as Western blot analysis, PCR, and real-time PCR, including primer design.  Experience in culturing of mammalian cells is necessary.  This individual must be willing to handle mice and perform duties such as identification of mice, weaning, obtaining tissue samples for DNA extraction, genotyping and monitoring mice for tumor formation.  This individual must have the drive and leadership skills necessary for supervising the daily operations of a laboratory, and should be open to learn a plethora of cell biology techniques.   Please send your CV to Dr. Harold I.
