The 2018 International Mammalian Genome Conference will take place at the beautiful Wyndham Grand Rio Mar Beach Resort & Spa from November 11-14.

Excellent Science in a fantastic beach setting with friendly and interested colleagues!  What more could you want?  Perhaps a chance to visit one of the World’s premier Bioluminescent Bays or the Rainforest!

More information is available at imgs.org.

The Science:

Terry Magnuson, Vice Chancellor for Research at UNC-Chapel Hill, will present the Chapman Lecture and sessions will include invited speakers from topics such as Immunology/Cancer, Gene/environment interactions, Epigenetics/Gene Regulation, Comparative Genomics, Human Disease Models, and Technology Advances.

Abstracts are encouraged from all topics in Mammalian Genetics/Genomics.  The majority of the presentations will be chosen from submitted abstracts and there will be plenty of time for poster session presentations!

Trainees are a very important part of the IMGC.

As is customary for the IMGC, there will be a Trainee Symposium on Sunday, November 11 where Students and Postdocs will present talks mainly to an audience of their peers.  3-4 of these presentations will be given the Lorraine Flaherty Award and selected to give presentations in the main meeting.  There are several other awards for which Trainees can compete.

Scholarships are available.  URM Scholarships will include travel as well as registration fee, and hotel.  Please see http://imgs.org/?run=conference.scholarship2018 for detailed information.  July 31 deadline for application.
