Puerto Rico is home to 73 endangered species

Next Saturday, May 21st, 2011 is the National Day for Endangered Species. There will be an activity at the Puerto Rico Zoo in Mayagüez, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, where attendant will learn about species protection, conservation and recovery programs. They will also learn about the negative impact of illegal animal trafficking and their legal implications.
