The Imaging Center of the School of Medicine from the Medical Science Campus at the University of Puerto Rico has been transformed into the research site for some of Puerto Rico's most important clinical investigations. This thanks to the advanced technological equipment –MRI 3T, CT Scan y ultrasonido– offered at the Imaging Center.

One of the Master's students who graduated last week from the University of Puerto Rico (UPR) at the Mayaguez Campus, will be publishing his thesis work on the discovery of a new species in the entomology field. Fernando González Delgado, discovered the new species of fly Calycomyza portoricensis.

Doves have lost their fear of humans in urban areas, therefore we can now observe four species of doves with regularity: Rolita Ground Dove, Zenaida Dove, White-winged Dove and the new urban species, the Scaly-naped pigeon.
