September 29, 2020 - San Juan, Puerto Rico- The Consumer Technology Association® (CTA), a trade association representing the United States consumer technology industry, announced the new group of honorees at its 2020 Consumer Technology (CT) Hall of Fame; and named the company re: 3D Inc. as Company of the Year for 2020. The association celebrates leaders in the technology industry who advance innovation and develop, create, market and promote the technologies, products and services that improve the lives of consumers.

NSF otorga subvención a catedráticos del Recinto Universitario de Mayagüez de la UPR para proyecto de tratamiento de cáncer

Los doctores Eduardo Juan García y Madeline Torres Lugo, catedráticos de la Facultad de Ingeniería del Recinto Universitario de Mayagüez (RUM), de la Universidad de Puerto Rico (UPR), recibieron una subvención de $250 mil de la Fundación Nacional de la Ciencia (NSF), para darle continuidad al desarrollo de un calentador por inducción magnética en miniatura, instrumento que se utilizaría para el tratamiento de cáncer prostático. 

Se trata de la primera dádiva que se otorga en Puerto Rico del nuevo programa Partnership For Innovation, de NSF, que aspira a que tecnologías que están en desarrollo en los laboratorios puedan escalar a nivel de comercialización.
