In order to expedite communications during the process of identifying damages and facilitating assistance to people affected by atmospheric phenomena such as Hurricane Maria, the nonprofit organization Caras de Puerto Rico launched a portal that aims to serve as a help tool.

Through a seed fund granted by the People's Bank Foundation, the website was launched to aid in the relief efforts of Puerto Rico and in the Virgin Islands.
