The Puerto Rico Science, Technology, and Research Trust announces second round of its "Small Research Grants Program"

Research & Development funding in Puerto Rico could be significantly increased if local researchers are provided with adequate resources that enabled them to arrive at critical milestones in their research endeavors. The Trust has developed the Small Research Grant Program (SRGP) to help researchers to position their R&D proposals competitively prior to the submission, or re-submission, to private or federal agencies.

The PR Trust for Science, Technology and Research opens solicitation to submit proposals. The PR Trust will grant 150, 000 per proposal and the total number of proposals to be funded is 10. The deadline to apply is October 26, 2015. The areas of interest are: biotechnology and natural sciences, informatics and communication technologies, aerospatial tecchnologies, medical devices, electronic, renewable and clean energies, agriculture, environmental sciences and other fields.

The Puerto Rcio Science, Technology and Research Trust announced that it is in the final stages of evaluating the research proposals they received in response to the recent request for proposals (RFP). Over 43 entities are competing to receive about a dozen $150,000 each grants to be awarded.
