Firm on their mission to make the University ecofriendly, students from the Department of Civil Engineering from the University of Puerto Rico at Mayaguez, initiated the third phase of the permeable concrete project.

Student team from RUM wins regional competition of the American Society of Civil Engineers

The group of students from the University of Puerto Rico - Mayaguez Campus that represented Puerto Rico in the southern regional competitions of the American Society of Civil Engineers, won the majority of the awards, including the prestigious Overall for the concrete canoe and steel bridge. This achievement classified them to move to the national competition where they will represent the states of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi and Puerto Rico in may and june of this year.
