Welcome to CienciaPR, an expert and resource network for all who are interested in science and Puerto Rico.
I'm a senior undergraduate student majoring in Biology (Pre-Vet track) at the University of Central Florida since I transferred in 2018.
I'm expected to graduate in Fall 2020.
Before transferring to UCF, I was majoring in Biomedical Sciences at the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico-Ponce Campus (PUCPR) from 2015 to 2017.
In my college career, I've worked as a peer mentor, clerical assistant, and volunteer. Currently, I volunteer at my local church, where I have had the opportunity to develop leadership skills.
Besides developing and polishing my leadership skills, I'm also interested in performing research in the following areas: biology, molecular cellular biology, and immunology.
After I graduate from my bachelor's degree in Biology, I intend to go to veterinary school. There, I'll pursue a Doctor in Veterinary medicine (DVM) degree. After I obtain my DVM, I'm interested in specializing/being board certified in Canine and Feline Practice. Then, I'd like to own my own private practice clinic.
