Born and raised in Puerto Rico. I obtained my BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Puerto Rico at Mayaguez in 2007. Obtained a doctorate degree in Chemical Engineering at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. The Sloan Foundation granted Anthony with full financial support for him to complete his graduate student years. My first job was with L'Oreal R&I USA and had the opportunity of launching hair care products into market and generate 5 patents for technologies for photoprotection. Then went into pharma to lead process development projects for Merck & Co in Rahway, New Jersey, where I ensured the best processes for the manufacture of medicines were going to market. In less than 6 years with Merck, I contributed to projects for medical indications such as: Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), Chronic Cough, Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs), and Hepatitis C, Blood Cancer, and COVD-19. Recently, I support the Gynecologic Oncology pipeline at the enterprise level in the Drug Development space. My work ipacts trials for endometrial cancer, ovarian cancer, and cervical cancer. As a young professional, I'm highly involved with giving back to the community by volunteering time to mentoring students, participating in career panels.
