My research is an understanding of the integration of motor and behavior development in the honey bee model. I try to determine if plasticity in flight muscle development is more limited than in plasticity in behavior or brain development. My research is novel in examining how muscle development is integrated with adult behavioral development and plasticity. This approach is expected to identify important molecules that alter muscle and whole organism performance under natural conditions. I am very happy that I endeavor to observe and discover this minute, sweet and interesting animal's social existence.
