Welcome to CienciaPR, an expert and resource network for all who are interested in science and Puerto Rico.
I am a professor in Electrical Engineering. I am leading the effort to build the first Puerto Rico satellite - a cubesat. We are working with major universities such as UC Berkeley, Virginia Tech and University of Michigan and governments like NASA, AFRL, NRL to train aerospace engineers.

this is a project being funded by PRIDCO and PR NASA Space Grant.
We are looking for dedicated engineering students to work on the project - there are openings for summer full time internship and part time work during academic years. Students can be from any university in Puerto Rico.
We also look for volunteers to mentor our engineering students.
