Our laboratory investigates the cellular and behavioral changes in response to natural and synthetic androgen administration. We are currently studying effects of anabolic androgenic steroid (AAS) on anxiety-related behaviors. Cellular substrates such as neuropeptides and growth factors are under investigation. Results will provide novel information to help treat AAS-induced behavioral disorders.
