I am a Cancer Biologist working as Director of Research and Development at MBQ Pharma in Puerto Rico. I have a B.S. in Biotechnology from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico-Arecibo Campus and a Ph.D. in Biochemistry at the University of Puerto Rico, Medical Sciences Campus. I worked under the mentoring of Dr. Suranganie Dharmawardhane at the Biochemistry Department where my research project focused in understanding the mechanisms of resistance to anti-EGFR/HER2 therapy in Breast Cancer. I also finished a postdoctoral experience at the University of California in San Francisco (UCSF) at the Department of Radiation Oncology where I worked with the role of TGFβ in preclinical intracranial brain tumor models.
