I am a population geneticist and paleontologist working on phylogeography, distribution modeling, fossils, and the application of computer software to solve population level evolutionary problems particularly focusing on biodiversity extinctions. I collect paleontological data in the form of fossils to examine changes in community assembly over time. I use genomics and distribution models to study how climate or anthropogenic changes affect populations of bats on Caribbean Islands gathering information about evolutionary processes that occur today and in the past.
