This 12-week, full-time internship offers an immersive experience exploring the worlds of Product Management (PM) and Software Development at Microsoft. Participants will engage in hands-on projects, collaborating with engineers, product managers, and cross-functional teams to contribute to the development of real-world products. This internship is designed to provide a comprehensive introduction to both PM and Development roles, equipping participants with the skills needed to excel in the tech industry.

Throughout the program, interns will receive mentorship from industry leaders, engage in professional development workshops, and have the opportunity to present their work to senior teams at Microsoft. This is a unique opportunity to gain deep insights into how products are built, managed, and delivered in one of the world’s leading technology companies.

Required Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing Bachelor’s degree.
  • Must be enrolled in second year of a 4-year undergraduate degree program at time of application. Dec 2027 or May 2028
  • Completed an Introduction to Computer Science course (or equivalent class) as well as one semester of calculus (or equivalent) by the start of the program.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated interest in majoring in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, or related technical major.

Additional:

  • Must be available full-time for the entire 12-week program (May-Aug).
  • Basic knowledge of coding and an interest in software development.
  • Interest in learning about product management and how tech products are created and launched.
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively in a team setting.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a growth mindset.
  • Applicants must not be enrolled in another full-time program during the internship.

The base pay range for this internship is USD $25.08 - $46.08 per hour. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $36.12 - $51.31 per hour.
