Interdisciplinary Science
ABRCMS continues its focus on interdisciplinary science, which draws on multiple research disciplines. Using data analytical approaches, strategies, tools, perspectives, concepts and/or theories from two or more disciplines changes the way we approach problems and allows for a more advanced scientific understanding, which in turn promotes transformative discoveries.
In presenting their projects, students should consider (i) which scientific disciplines are brought together by their research, (ii) what research methods and/or data analytic approaches are used from other scientific disciplines, (iii) how scientists from other departments or scientific
disciplines are involved in ones’ understanding about science and development as scientists, and (iv) how ones’ scientific findings may impact other disciplines.
