La vacuna contra el chikungunya fue desarrollada durante los dos últimos años por los Institutos Nacionales de Salud y el Instituto Nacional de Alergias y Enfermedades Infecciosas de Estados Unidos. (CDC)
Authorities from the Dominican Republic announced that they will be testing the experimental chikingunya vaccine that was developed in the United States. These trials will be conducted in Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Haiti, Guadalupe and Martinica to determine the efficacy and safety of the vaccine.
