Scientific American is looking for a Senior Editor to create, edit, translate, and curate editorial content in Spanish language for Scientific American digital and print products for all scientific topics.

Candidates must be fluent in both Spanish and English, and possess a Master’s degree or equivalent work experience of at least 8- 10 years in journalism. A background or strong interest in science is also required.

Responsibilities will include:

·Write, assign, and translate Spanish language news, features, podcasts, video, etc.
·Analyze user interests and traffic data to improve the website and grow traffic.
·In collaboration with international colleagues, create thematic packages by collecting, updating, translating, and enriching archive material.
·Participate in social media & community (e.g. comments, Twitter, Facebook, Google+).
