The Department of Pharmacology & Neuroscience at the University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth (UNTHSC) is seeking applications for tenure-track faculty at the Assistant/Associate/Full Professor level.


Candidates must possess a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, and at least two years of postdoctoral experience. The candidate will be expected to develop and maintain an independent and extramurally funded line of research that complements ongoing projects in the areas of neurobiology of aging and Alzheimer’s disease, neuroprotection and regeneration, the neurobiology of substance abuse, cognitive/behavioral neuroscience, diseases of the eye, molecular pharmacology, structural biology, or quantitative genetics. The department of Pharmacology & Neuroscience ranks among the top 5 Pharmacology programs in the nation, based on extramural funding level per faculty, and exemplifies the world-class research ongoing at UNTHSC. Departmental research and training activities are supported through multiple federal and non-federal grants, including two Program Project grants and an institutional pre-doctoral training grant (T32) in the Neurobiology of Aging.
